We supply a range of high performance, single person audiometric booths (for hearing tests), ideal for the medical, industrial and resources sectors.

Myth
If I close the door to my consulting room it will be quiet enough to do an accurate hearing test.
Fact
Consulting rooms may seem “quiet enough”, however sound level meter recordings around Australia reveal that many rarely meet the AS1269.4 specifications for background noise levels. High levels of external noise can affect hearing test accuracy and raise suspicion about accuracy from the person being tested.
Myth
Audiometric booths are “sound proof”.
Fact
Audiometric booths can only ever be “sound reducing”. Low-frequency noise can readily pass through solid structures. The solid walls of an audiometric booth can certainly reduce noise, but not eliminate completely.
